In 1985 our Conference passed a “Statement on Abortion” at our annual meeting. It was intended to keep the issue of the sanctity of human life before our congregations. In order to strengthen our witness and influence on this and related issue we have joined the National Pro-Life Religious Council (NPRC). The NPRC is a Christian coalition which acknowledges Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and is called to affirm and witness to the Biblical standard of the value, dignity, and sanctity of human life. Their vision, mission and goals are listed on their home page. Our representative on their Board of Directors is Rev. Kirk van der Swaagh.
