Christ to the Cops!

Just before I retired from the Michigan State Police as a Chaplain with 20 years of service, God spoke to me about the need to get the gospel out to police officers. I agreed. After all, I had been a cop before going into ministry (another miracle story) and I knew how much cops needed Christ. So with His help, I started the American Police Chaplains Association. When I was a cop I always carried a small New Testament in my top uniform shirt pocket. I referred to it often. I wanted other cops to feel the same way. So we developed a police version NIV New Testament for cops called “The Peacemakers.” It has helps in it for the street cops. God gave me a goal of a Bible in EVERY police officer’s patrol bag — a HUGE goal, since there are about 850,000 cops in all 50 states! So we started with little money but a lot of faith seven years ago, and have now given out FREE to cops all across America over 100,000 Bibles! People who love God and want to see the cops in their town love God have paid for it all!
Over the last several years, we have trained over 700 police chaplains across the USA and have helped numbers of police departments — both large and small, start a police chaplains’ program. In recent years we’ve seen cops saved all over America, marriages restored, men starting police Bible studies, men returning to church with their families, and new ministries started. God is doing some incredible miracles in law enforcement, proof that God is at work and saving the lives of officers — eventually bringing them to Christ! Regardless of what’s happening in some areas of the country, God is actively at work in law enforcement!
Now we need your help in 2 ways: 1) Will you commit to pray for the police every day in your devotions, especially the cops in your town? Pray also for American Police Chaplains and our Board of Directors. 2) If you know of any officer that needs a FREE Bible just have them email us or call us.
