Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
We live in interesting times. (Stolen supposedly from an ancient Chinese saying.) Interesting times because as we survey the cultural, economic, technological and political landscapes change is occurring at a remarkably rapid pace. Change always breeds uncertainty. The consequence is that many are asking if there is an authoritative answer to life’s questions. The Conservative Congregational Christian Conference believes there is and it is the Word of God. We also believe that God has raised us up for such a time as this.
In 1620 our ancestors established a new experiment to honor God in the new world. The Plymouth Colony and then the Massachusetts Bay Colony were founded by Christians seeking to create a new order under God’s guidance. We are the inheritors of this legacy of faith, initiative and obedient risk taking.
We would define ourselves as Conservative: conserving and promoting the Word of God. Congregational: advocating and respecting the local assembly, the gathered body of believers as the expression of Christ’s church. Christian: believing in salvation by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ. Conference: an alliance of churches, pastors, missionaries, Christian workers, and lay people committed to loving God, loving others and making disciples as we go through life.
I invite you to investigate and explore our Conference. I challenge you to see what God is doing in this family of faith. Hear the stories of grace and love that comprise our life together and share the vision that God has put before us: We are Biblical Christians “Honoring Jesus Christ Together” We aim to do this in these ways: 1. Committing to Christ; 2. Connecting with Each Other; 3. Cooperating in Purpose with One Another; 4. Completing the Works God has Prepared for us to do.
These times may be interesting; however, the Sovereign Lord we love has promised to supply our every need. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
In Christ’s love
